The Practice
Dr. Velasquez started his solo practice in July 2018. He is super excited to offer individualized care for each patient and looks forward to many years of care and relationships with all of his patients.

Dr. Velasquez
Dr. Velasquez was born and raised in San Antonio, TX where he currently resides with his wife and three children. Following graduation at Central Catholic High School he attended Rice University in Houston. Dr. Velasquez then received his Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He remained at UTHSCSA to complete his residency in Ophthalmology. He completed further training in Glaucoma surgery through a fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas. He returned to UTHSCSA as an assistant professor of clinical ophthalmology and glaucoma and joined private practice in January 2016. Dr. Velasquez is now pursuing his dream of opening his own Ophthalmology practice in San Antonio.

Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, Texas Ophthalmological Association, Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society.
Dr. Velasquez brings expertise in medical, surgical, and laser options for treating glaucoma in addition to providing comprehensive ophthalmologic care.
